NTA JEE Main 2025 Session-1 January 2026: Online Application Form – Registration Begins

The NTA- National Testing Agency has started the online registration of JEE Main 2026 which is very important for the candidates- who are going to appear for the Joint Entrance Examination- JEE Main every year- the JEE Main is the important gate to enter into institutions like the NITs- IIITs and is also the important exam for JEE Advanced. For the 2026 academic session- the syllabus is same as the previous year. This article provides all the details regarding the eligibility- application process- exam pattern- dates. The application started from 31 October till 27 November 2025.

JEE Mains Syllabus- details:

The JEE Main exam 2026–  includes two papers:

1. Paper 1 is for: B.E and B.TECH aspirants which is Computer Based Test. 
2. Paper 2 is divided into two parts: Paper 2A –B. Architecture and Paper 2B –B. Planning

Eligibility- Criteria:

Candidates need to meet the certain eligibility- conditions to sit in the JEE Mains examination 2026 and the conditions are:

1. There is no- age limit to appear- in the JEE Main 2026.
2. Candidates must have passed their- Class 12th examination.
3. Candidate should have Physics- Chemistry- Maths etc as subjects in 12th class.
4. General category candidates need a minimum of- 75 percent marks in their Class 12th exams while SC- ST candidates need 65 percent.

Application Fee: The application fee- for candidates is: General- OBC- EWS: 1000 – 2000 rupees & SC- ST- PwD: 500 – 1000 rupee.

The application process is the important and crucial factor for the- JEE Main 2026 to sit in the examination or to appear in the exam.

Here are the steps to fill the form accurately:

1. Visit the official website__ jeemain.nta.nic.in
2. Click on the JEE Main 2026 registration link.
3. Register yourself by filling basic details like name- date of birth- email ID- number etc.
4. Fill the application form by entering details like personal information- academic information- exam centre etc.
5. Upload all the documents like photo- signature- category certificate etc.
6. Pay the application fee amount.
7. Submit the form after reviewing it – Take the print out for future use.

Selection Process:

The JEE Main 2026 selection process includes two stages:

1. Entrance examination: It is computer based test.
2. Merit list: NTA releases merit list on the score of entrance exam.
3. Document Verification: Candidates are called for document verification.
4. Medical fitness: Some institutions call for medical fitness during admission.
